Imposing, majestic and real-looking, the deer is considered one of the most beautiful animals that inhabit our woods.
We would like to emphasize that you will hardly be able to spot the deer in the area of the Novella River Park, because it is not its ideal habitat, even if sightings are not entirely impossible.

What is Deer Roar?

The bellowing is the “love song” that the deer makes to conquer the female.
Of course, don’t expect a pleasant symphony, because it’s more like a hoarse verse than a chirping.
The aim is to drive away all rival suitors and if it doesn’t work with the voice then we move on to the fight with horns, or rather antlers.

Going into the woods at this time of year is one of the most beautiful experiences to try.
We recommend that you do it at sunrise or sunset, it will also be easier to spot them.

What to do in case of sighting

If you are lucky enough to see the king of the forest live, do not make noise and avoid getting too close so as not to let him escape.

We recommend that you have binoculars with you so that you can observe them from a distance without disturbing them.

The Novella River Park

After having loaded up with emotions, you just have to end the day by visiting us for a suggestive trek inside the thousand-year-old canyons where the Novella stream flows.

With the beginning of the foliage, another exciting experience to try is kayaking on Lake Santa Giustina , which allows you to enter the gorges of the Novella stream.
